First of all, thank you for visiting my site! I am excited and humbled to say that I am doing what I love to do.
My name is David Liles and at age 15, I wanted to be a shoe designer for Nike. Taking that decision very seriously, my wonderful and supportive parents purchased me an Apple iMac G4 with the Adobe Creative Suite. With tools now in hand, I researched what it took in college to become a professional athletic shoe designer and discovered that it required a major in Industrial Design and a minor in Graphic Design. Working through both of those avenues with intensity, I soon realized that my true passion was in graphic design—and the rest is history.
I received my Graphic Design degree from the International Academy of Design & Technology in Nashville, TN in 2006. After receiving my degree, I moved back home to Jonesboro, AR to pursue a professional career. My work experience includes working at a marketing agency as well as working in the marketing department for a global industrial company.
I now have the pleasure and the great opportunity to be a freelance graphic designer. I love how graphic design is so much more than working at a computer—sketches, brainstorming, branding, client communication and even the psychology of how marketing works is what makes my job my passion! I thank my Lord Jesus everyday that I have a wonderful, supportive wife and a fantastic son. Oh yah, and I am a huge UNC Tar Heel fan! Go Heels!
“Create to Inspire” is my slogan because not only am I inspired to create, but I am more driven by inspiring others. Which could be either inspiring a client to help brand their company and drive their message to their audience, inspire the general public to believe in a product through branding or even inspire other artists and graphic designers out there that may have an interest in my work. I have been inspired by many, many other creative people out there that have helped get me get to where I am today.
